Al-Ehsan Centre Islamic School

The Islamic school was established in 1995. It has been growing year on year since its inception.

Al Ehsan Islamic School holds fee free Qur'an recitation and Islamic studies classes every Sunday from 10:30 to Duhr Salah during the school term.

Classes are held at the following location:

Notting Hill Community Centre, 386 Ferntree Gully Road, Notting Hill 3168.
(south west cnr Blackburn road and Ferntree Gully road)

By the immense mercy and help of Almighty Allah the Al Ehsan Islamic school is growing both in quality and number of students. Mah'shah'Allah we now have six teachers and two teachers’ aides. Alhamdulillah among them we are lucky to have well qualified teachers qualified to teach Qur'an recitation with tajweed rules.

Alhamdulillah we currently have 5 to 6 groups of students from beginner to advanced from various age groups. Insha’Allah we also intend to restart, expand and continue Qur'an recitation/Islamic discussion class for the adults as well, currently comprising of the parents who bring their children to school.

Alhamdulillah all these activities were made possible with your participation and generous help. May Allah accept all our good efforts and sacrifices and make it a means of expiation of our sins and forgiveness for our parents and guidance for our children. Ameen.

To continue with the delivery of this important teaching of the Qur'an and the deen for the community, we need your continued generosity and support. May Allah accept your donations and support as Sadaqa tus Jariah so that it may continue to earn benefit for you, your family and the community. As it is reported in an Hadith of our prophet Muhammad (sal'lalah hu alaihe' wa'sallam)

‘Uthmaan, may Allah be pleased with him, said that the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said: “The best of you are the ones who learn the Qur’an and teach it to others” [Al-Bukhari]’.The attached link gives nine benefits of reading the Qur'an both in this world and in the hereafter. http://www.themodernreligion.com/basic/quran/quran-benefits.html

As you are probably aware it is Fard on us to try and learn to recite the Qur'an with the correct tajweed, and it is Fard a Kifaya on the community to have teachers of Qur'an recitation with correct Tajweed rule. May Allah help us in our efforts in the practice of the deen and building up a strong community of believers among us and more importantly among our children and the future generation.

May Allah (swt) give all of us ‘tawfiq’ to work together for His satisfaction only insha'Allah.

Both Eids are the most significant festivals for Muslims. Eid-ul-fitre follows the month long fasting in Ramadan. Eid-ul Adha is celebrated on the day following the rites of the pilgrims on the day of Arafat, where pilgrims spend the day in prayer and supplication asking for the forgiveness of Allah and salvation and deliverance for themselves and others.
